LASH LIFTS

Lets just jump straight into 2021 with one of my favourite beauty treatments. now, if you read the heading above you can already gain an understanding of what area of the face we are going to be talking about today.

yes, eyelashes.

now, eyelashes are a game changer.
we curl them,
thicken them,
blacken them,
add falsies,
stick glue on them
and even magnetic liquid…. bizare!

out of those many methods to gain the ultimate lashes i only really like to lift my lashes, aka lash lift.

For myself, im not a fan of flase lashes or lash extensions. many reasons including upkeep and the simple fact that i am not one for fiddly things.

if you have never heard or seen a lash lift before, then strap yourself in while i break the entire process down for you.

WHAT Is a lash lift?

think of it as curling your lashes but you only need to do it once every 10ish weeks. A lash lift curls your lash from base to tip so that you can see the full length. All lashes have a natural shape to them, so this process alters that shape via a tiny curling rod and a lifting solution.

It’s not as scary as it sounds….

Every treatment begins with a consultation to determine what kind of lash style you are looking to achieve. mine is alway the same, ‘make my lashes touch my eyebrows please’. Based on your answers, your therapist will then pick a suitable curling rod size to shape the lashes.

first things first, we cleanse the eye area and place these cute under eye patches over the bottom lashes. these are placed there so no solution can get on them and change shape. we are only aiming to lift the top lashes. the under eye pads feel cool and hydrating.

a silicone rod is then placed onto the eyelids. The natural lashes are then curled over and attached to the rod with an adhesive to set the lashes. each individual. lash is shaped evenly apart to they do not cross over. Once the therapist ensures everything is positioned correctly, a lifting solution is applied to allow the lashes to mould around the curling rod. the first solution is designed to loosen the lashes. from their natural shape, making them easy. to reshape. this step lasts around 6/8 minutes.

after this first solution is finished the perming SOLUTION is applied. same thing again, it sits on the lashes for around 6/8 minutes.

the perming solution sets the lashes in place. this is how they will look for around 10 weeks.

now, before you get ahead of yourself thinking you have the ability to perform this treatment on yourself, please stop immediately. firstly, your eyes are closed so its highly likely you will stuff this up! secondly, you need to be trained in performing this treatment professionally.

you want to be going to a salon that offers an incredible service and is skilled in lashes. i have been going to brow & lash co for around 4 years now and highly highly highly recommend.

so if you. havent guessed it by now, i love treatments that save you time and hassle. and the lash lift is most defintely that. the lift + tint only costs. you $75 with the girls at b&LCo.

i can not stress enough the importance of going to a professional salon. with good reviews. i once went on the hunt for a bargain and found myself in. some cheap. and nasty place. my lash lift was horrendous. only the very tip of my lashes were curled. so they looked somewhat like right angle.

anyways, hope you found this blog of mine useful and if you DIDN'T know what lash lift was before, now you do.

happy 2020
